Originally from Easton, PA, Tim grew up loving the outdoors. Ever since he was able to work, Tim worked in the Green Industry. Starting in golf course maintenance at Whitetail Golf Course in Bath, PA, Tim continued to fall in love with horticulture and landscaping. This led him to work for Jerry Gross & Son Landscaping in West Easton, PA. working summers for the next eight years through high school and college. During college, Tim worked on a two-year internship with Plantique, Inc. in Allentown, PA. In 2003, Tim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture & Environmental Design from Delaware Valley University (Doylestown, PA) with a focus on Landscape Contracting & Management. Once finished with college, Tim moved to Charlottesville with his now wife, Allison, in the summer of 2003. In the span of the next seven years, Tim worked for J.W. Townsend and then took a Landscape Designer position at Snow’s Garden Center in the spring of 2004. Tim started Bella Terra Landscapes in spring of 2010.
In 2003, Tim received his Virginia Certified Horticulturist designation (VNLA).
2004-2011 Tim served as Director and then President of the Piedmont Landscape Association (PLA).
When Tim is not fishing or hunting, he and his wife watch their kids (Hudson & Campbell) compete athletically in football, baseball, lacrosse and volleyball for their high school and other area organizations. Tim and his family live in Troy, VA with their two dogs, Bella and Remi.
