Meet The Staff
Originally from Easton, PA, Tim grew up loving the outdoors. Ever since he was able to work, Tim worked in the Green Industry. Starting in golf course maintenance at Whitetail Golf Course in Bath, PA, Tim continued to fall in love with horticulture and landscaping. This led him to work for Jerry Gross & Son Landscaping in West Easton, PA. working summers for the next eight years through high school and college. During college, Tim worked on a two-year internship with Plantique, Inc. in Allentown, PA. In 2003, Tim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture & Environmental Design from Delaware Valley University (Doylestown, PA) with a focus on Landscape Contracting & Management. Once finished with college, Tim moved to Charlottesville with his now wife, Allison, in the summer of 2003. In the span of the next seven years, Tim worked for J.W. Townsend and then took a Landscape Designer position at Snow’s Garden Center in the spring of 2004. Tim started Bella Terra Landscapes in spring of 2010.
In 2003, Tim received his Virginia Certified Horticulturist designation (VNLA).
2004-2011 Tim served as Director and then President of the Piedmont Landscape Association (PLA).
When Tim is not fishing or hunting, he and his wife watch their kids (Hudson & Campbell) compete athletically in football, baseball, lacrosse and volleyball for their high school and other area organizations. Tim and his family live in Troy, VA with their two dogs, Bella and Remi.

Cindy has worked in the landscape industry for 34 years. Prior to her working in landscape for the past 16 years here in the Charlottesville area, she worked for a few landscape companies in the northern Virginia area as a Landscape Designer/Sales. Cindy has been with Bella Terra Landscape since August 2021 as a Landscape Designer/Estimator. Before working on the management side of the business, Cindy worked many years in production.
When Cindy is not working on her own garden on the weekends, she is either riding her motorcycle or baking with her husband, JD, who is also an employee of Bella Terra Landscape as a Shop Manager/Mechanic. Her passion is landscape design and working with people and it shows. Her own landscape is designed with the objective of increasing wildlife.

Beth comes to Bella Terra with over 20 years of experience in landscape maintenance, and over 10 years of property management. Her background consists of other areas in landscape including but not limited to: tree pruning, plant health care, lawn care, seasonal pots and some landscape design. Beth recently returned to Virginia in the Spring of 2022, after expanding her career in the New York / Connecticut area. She lives in Powhatan, and enjoys cooking, wine tasting, and working on the home landscape with her partner Jeff, and relaxing with their two cats, Wookiee and Dakota.

Mallory was born and raised in Louisa, VA. She currently lives there with her husband, 3 children and black lab-Delta. She has been working for Bella Terra since the Spring of 2021. Mallory wears many hats at Bella Terra. Her roles include office manager, bookkeeper, payroll administrator and human resources.
When she isn’t at the office Mallory enjoys spending time with her family at Lake Anna or Hatteras Island, watching her kids play sports, and visiting some of her favorite wineries with friends.

Victor Garcia
Landscape Maintenance Supervisor / ForemanOriginally from Veracruz, Mexico, Victor came to Bella Terra in 2015 with over 17 years’ experience in different elements of the landscape industry: lawn maintenance, shrub pruning, mulching, plant installations, seasonal containers, etc. His talents also extend to hardscapes, with experience in patios, retaining walls, walkways, and other construction aspects. Victor lives in Charlottesville, and when he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, taking long walks, shopping, and just relaxing at home.

Javier Mendez-Rios
Lawn Maintenance ForemanJavier came to Bella Terra in 2023, and began work on construction projects. He brings 10 years of experience with landscape and hardscape to the company. Javier transitioned to property maintenance in 2024 and has enjoyed his time learning about horticulture and taking steps to grow into his role as Maintenance Foreman. He enjoys cooking, spending time in nature, getting to know and identify plants and trees. He was born in Culpeper County and currently lives in Charlottesville.

Brayan Umana Hernandez
Landscape Installation Supervisor / ForemanBrayan started working for Bella Terra back in April 2020. After a brief sabbatical, he came back to work for us in March of 2023. Originally from San Salvador, El Salvador, he now lives here in Charlottesville, VA with his beautiful wife and four beautiful children. When not at work, you can find Brayan running after his kids and playing soccer with his friends.

Jilmar Gonzales Melgar
Landscape Installation Foreman“Melgar” came to us in April 2022. Originally from Comayagua, Honduras, he quickly moved up the ladder and has become an exceptional leader. On weekends, he likes to spend time with his family and watch his kids play soccer.

Wilson Mejia
Landscape Installation ForemanWilson started working for us in May 2024. He is from Villanueva, Cortes, Honduras. When he’s not at work building beautiful hardscapes, he’s home making music and watching his favorite soccer team, Barcelona.

Luis Linares
Landscape Installation ForemanOriginally from San Pedro Sula, Honduras, Luis started working for us in August 2024. He currently lives in Troy, VA with his wife. They are expecting their first child this year! One of Lui’s most recent achievements is completing his vocational certification training in Electrical Engineering. He is very excited to become a father!
Meet The Staff
JD arrived at Bella Terra in October 2022. He comes from a long line of auto mechanic workers, and grew up in the auto industry, where he learned how to perform the most basic repairs and services, to more complex issues. JD took classes in auto repair in his high school years and attended auto trade school afterwards. JD owned an auto/truck repair business for 10 years before closing. He then went to work for and became Parts Director for Saturn + Chevrolet in Northern Virginia. He also worked and managed a Fisher Auto Parts store in Charlottesville for 16 years. His hobbies include cooking and riding motorcycles with his wife, Cindy, who also works at Bella Terra as a designer. He also an active member of the Church of Christ in Charlottesville.
